S5 stolen ☹️ Key advice needed

Hi all, Some scrotes broke into my house last night, searched for and took my keys and made off with my beloved S5. We got downstairs just in time to hear engine fire up, but it was gone. Foolishly I had not heeded warnings about taking keys to bed with me, but on the upside everyone in the...

New S5 Sportback...getting ready to press the button...

It included the £2500 contribution, which the dealer pays ( or did earlier in their year anyway). Better discounts may be possible now the model isn't so new

    Google Earth map excessive loading

Mine seems to be working as it should again, no issues for the past two days. Fingers crossed.! Out of interest, anyone updated the maps? I think mine started after I did that, maybe it need to re-cache after an update?

    S5 MPG

I have filled it with 99 from brand new so not done a comparison. General view on forums seems to be that it does bring slight mpg and possibly even performance benefits. My previous 6 cars were all diesel, so don't have much knowledge on this - to be honest it's more about that phase of ' only...

    S5 MPG

That's not bad going. I got around 39 mpg on a 77 mile trip, including climbing over the M62 last week - like you not trying too hard to be frugal, didn't even have it in economy mode- was in auto (though I assume this defaults to economy when driving steadily?). 1200 miles on clock, using Tesco...

    Google Earth map excessive loading

Mine has been absolutely fine today, straight in as soon as I started the car, twice. Maybe the problem has been fixed? On another matter, I got av mpg of 39 on a round trip to Manchester and back ( from york, over the M62) without particularly trying to be frugal - I thought that was pretty...

    Google Earth map excessive loading

I have been experiencing the same thing over the past week - stuck on the loading screen on start up for anything up to 40 minutes. Each time in areas of good mobile coverage so it's not that. I am also only 1 month into the 36 month subscription, so not that either. Something not right, it is...

    New Audi A5/S5 picture thread

This thread a little quiet so I thought I would post a couple of pics. I am not at all into car detailing ( though I can start to see the attraction!), but as the car is new thought I would give it a decent wash and dry at the weekend, quite happy with how it looks, and the Gradx paint...

    Button pressed....!

Good news - autoglass managed a repair. The guy thought there was a risk of making it worse because of the cracks but gave it ago, end result isn't bad. It is still visible - blurry patch in the chipped bit and the resin hasn't permutated right along the cracks, so they are visible still in the...

    Button pressed....!

Rang the insurers, pressed the option for glass cover and got put through directly to autoglass! They are coming Friday on the basis of doing a repair. They even text you a link to upload photos f the damage seems a 2 pence piece is the critical barometer for repairable or not! Will let you know...

    Button pressed....!

Mine took approx 4 weeks from start of production to me taking ownership. It seems some take longer, some come quicker, I was pleased with 4 weeks from what I have read for other peoples experiences. Can get stuck in QC or at the ports. I think if you assume end of July you won't be far wrong!

    Button pressed....!

Cheers R.A.G I did actually look up self repair kits earlier..might be an option! Like you say, new screen is a pretty invasive bit of work and with all the stuff and sensors attached to it I wouldn't be worried about the quality of repair. Should I contact autoglass to come look at it, or di...

    Button pressed....!

Yeah, hopefully it's fixable. According to autoglass website they won't fix anything over 1cm in 'zone a' , i.e straight in front of the driver, which this is. Will call them out, see what they say. As for the car, I am loving it. I really like how it can go from comfortable smooth cruiser to a...
