I know this doesn't answer your question, but I now use a cheap android tablet instead of the built-in satnav, as in my opinion it's easier to use and has live traffic benefits etc of Google Maps, plus the ability to install apps to stream music to your car stereo etc, maybe an option for you?

Thanks for your reply, maybe I will try a headlight restoration kit first, as unless I was going to de-chrome the entire car I don't really want the rear lights tinted. Might go well with a black Audi logo on the tailgate though :)

I know this is an old thread, but as I have the same problem with my rear inner lights I'd like to know if it's worth lightly tinting all the rear lights to hide the faded/scratched surface? I don't want a dark tint, but maybe a light tint film would look ok?
