So after breaking down again with no fault found I sold my car back to Audi, thankfully the used car market is good.
I have returned to Mercedes who helped me purchase a new car that was cancelled.
Even when it was clear my car had issues and I was willing to swap Audi didn’t give a toss...
So I had the recall check at Huntingdon Audi, apparently my car was not affected.
Seat issue - no fault found
Restart issue- no fault found
I was told the software is “self healing” which is a new one to me and is maybe why no codes were detected.
Seat is still possessed but car hasn’t...
I just press the start/stop button every time I get in too which has temporarily fixed it, the car goes in on Thursday. Hopefully they will have some idea what’s causing the issue.

Spoke to Audi this morning, the recall 70I2 is for a piece of dashboard that can shatter if the airbags are deployed and could cause injury. Great to know, but apparently it’s safe to drive :) Effects A6, A7 2018-2020 if I heard correctly.
Other issues booked in at the same time, the seat is...
Hi everyone,
Had this pop up on myAudi, any idea what this is for?
Also have some issues others have posted about so will see what can be done while in:
1. Seat memory - the seat is in a different position every time I start the car and have to press the seat memory button to get in position...
Hi Sean,
From another post on here:
"the TPI that’s required is 2053287/11 but more importantly, this is an Engine ECU update and not a gearbox update as such, the software update is 4K0907401K"
3.0 TDI Lazy Gearbox / Turbo lag issues - Software update? | Audi-Sport.net (audi-sport.net)...
9/10 - Only because in efficiency I have noticed a slight delay. When I left the dealer after the update I could not believe the difference, it was like I was in a completely different car. In sport it is brutally quick, I can't imagine what it will be like in an S6 but imagine you will be very...
Hi Zazox, I asked a few times at dealer about this and was told my car was unaffected. Then when in for warranty work, it was given the update while in, by same dealer..!
Their explanation was the update is being rolled out by batch number, which goes by build year and month, so basically what...
My A6 50tdi 2020 on Bridgestone’s has a similar “haptic” feedback on full lock, only happens when reversing into my parking bay which is not an easy task. All tyre pressure spot on. If I remember correctly, my mk1 TT Quattro did the same..? but it has been a long time since I owned a quattro...
I have C&S pack (69 plate) and its not electric closing and no kick sensor either, just electric opening. I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come with electric closing, I'm sure I read somewhere it is something to do WLTP and certain options being dropped? Might be different on new cars...?
I had the update (23CK) on my 2020 A6 50tdi on Sept. 29th while in for warranty work, the difference is very noticeable! I thought I was in sport mode when I pulled out from dealership but was in drive.
I didn't feel the lag was that bad before the update but I now think it was, the shifts are...
Hopefully my last update on this.... I am finally booked in for Sept. 24th to have all issues rectified by Milton Keynes Audi.
Its taken a lot of effort to get to this stage, if this happened again I would go straight to Audi UK rather than spend weeks trying to go through the dealer.
MCarda Audi UK phoned and agreed and said it should be a permanent repair as if I keep the car at end of finance agreement a wrap may need to be replaced. Also, if I return the car at end of my agreement and its picked up I could end up with a bill for repair or they could have further issues...
Slight update, Audi UK are having the same problem as me in trying to get a response. Not sure what they will do next but its a start...
"Thank you for your recent contact with Audi UK Customer Services.
I apologise for the delay in my response.
After receiving your email earlier this week, I...
I think wrap lasts 6yrs but not sure... I have asked if just effected trim or all as I can't imagine it would match.
Also contacted Audi UK for their opinion, as I would have thought as a manufacturing defect the warranty should cover replacement on a 4 month old car?
