I have been driving with it for the last three days without a single error showing when scanned with OBD.

Not normal for sure. I’d say there is something that blocks the full movement. As you have a warranty don’t wait and use it. Taking down this mirror is a pain as these are mounted to the door in such way that the door cards need to taken down.

I can confirm that I also feel like the gearbox handling has improved since I got it a year ago. It could be that the electronics are learning our driving style.
My favorite drive select setting is Individual with Steering in Comfort and Drivetrain in Normal/Automatic.

You can remap your engine and gearbox

It sounds absolutely normal to me.
I felt the same way when I got my 50tdi coming from dual clutch dsg in Passat.
To be honest 8 speed tiptronic gearbox you get in 50tdi with torque converter is way better than dual clutch you get 40tdi. Having said that the little trade off is slightly slower...
