I was able to resolve this on my 2015 Audi S3 on software version "MSTD_EU_AU_P3151" using my Pixel 4 on Android 12 by doing the following.
The car is much older and therefore seems not to like phones using later-generation Bluetooth protocols.
I was able to get tracks to show, skip and adjust...
