Some early s3's have this early type of wishbone bush. I booked mine in fir the defcon bushes only to be told that they already had the early tt wishbones
Was what I was wondering? If they run too low, does it not have the effect of making the suspension softer as it does not go through the correct arc in that it is already past the point when the suspension will be at its stiffest?
I run my S3 reasonably but not stupidly low on AST coilovers, pretty stiffly sprung with Neuspeed anti roll bars.
The front end seems quite bouncy and always has. We noticed the wishbones were pointing slightly upwards. I know with golf you can get ball joint extenders to sort the geometry...
It is fine to turn up on the day. Also, additional drivers and passengers are free anyway, so you may be able to blag some laps. Watch from pit wall or stands, no problem

As luck would have it, I own Apex Trackdays and am planning a discount scheme for Audi owners. I am getting a little lonely being the only one on track!
These were the photos of mine taken at Blyton.

Cheers westy. I knew he was filming so I did throw it about a bit more than normal. Suspension wise it has:
Sat coilovers with 450 front 500 rear springs
Neuspeed front and rear arb's. (28mm rear)
Haldex controller
Defcon front bushes ( funnily it has the early tt wishbones standard)
