    Keep it, or get rid??

Hmm. Still undecided.. Will see what deals I can get on a new car and then make my decision. But I think its most likely that I stay in the Audi club!

    Keep it, or get rid??

Thanks for your inputs guys.. Anyway, get this: Picked the car up from the dealer this evening having had the turbo problem diagnosed and fixed. Apparantly an animal had gnawed its way through the turbo inlet pipe. He explained that this is a common problem here in Switzerland - Pine...

    Keep it, or get rid??

Mileage is pretty low. 43,000km (26k miles). Yeah, I'm not tooo worried about longer term reliability, just that I have a very low tolerance for the hassle factor that comes with niggling faults etc..

    Keep it, or get rid??

I have a 2006 140 TDI Sportback. So far it's been the best Audi I've ever owned (it's my third) and it hasn't skipped a beat in almost 3 years. Now I have a major dilema.. The lease is up in September and I'm not sure if I should hang on to it (I can get a great deal on it from the leaasing...

    Road Trips

I've just been searching through and looking at some of the great road trips and photos here, like this one and this one. Just thought I'd mention that there is a site called MapVivo which enables you to plot a route on a map, adding images to different points as you go to give a much more...

    Engine Braking

One reason for not changing down through the gears as you slow down is that clutches are more expensive to replace than brakes.

    Shameless Plug

Hi everybody, As audi / driving enthusiasts I thought you may be interested in a couple of blog posts: http://www.talkclimatechange.com/2008/01/29/are-eco-friendly-cars-really-the-answer/ Which makes the case for more focus on public transport infrastructure, so that we can enjoy driving...

    170 Question

I think the straight tailpipes depend on fitment of a DPF. If you have one then you are allowed straight tailpipes. If not then they must point down to stop the soot going everywhere.

    170 Question

As far as I know the 170 didn't become available until Summer 06 - looks like the seller is telling you porky pies.

    Engines

You can apply that argument to almost anything you like. Most things are only a small part of the problem, which is why all things need to be addressed in parallel. Providing, of course, that you believe that there is actually a problem in the first place.

    ESP default

In defense of EPS, I'd just like to comment that it is very effective on snow. My old 8L would spin its wheels like mad on snow, but the 8P EPS feels almost like my A4 quattro used to. It does a great job of preventing spin so that the wheels gradually gain traction. But I agree, that for the...

    Happy Christmas

AUDI Dealers = CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE

I don't think it's unreasonable to void warranties if you are modifying the car. How can they be confident that the work you do on it doesn't cause problems later on?

Thinking Of Selling The TDI - What Do You Think?

Personally I would just enjoy owning the nice car that you already own, and take advantage of lower running costs while you save up for the S3 that you really want.
