My car did this for years, a couple of squirts of WD40 did the trick for me. Mine is a 2011 A7 so not sure if it is a different fault on some of the modern cars?

Just a quick hello, i'm not a car person but bought my MGF last year, not great for winter driving. I bought a sensible 4 door Audi a couple of weeks ago for the winter and tucked the 2 seater up in the garage. I love the S4 so much not sure if the MGF will make it out much this summer.
