Ok going to remove non standard bits for now, with a view to sell the car on its own, so the following are available (+p&p):
RS4 piano black trim-doors, dash, hazard, ashtray and gear surround £200
S4 Carbon dash and door trims, £100
S4 xenon headlights with ballasts, bulbs and wiring...
Will let you know,it's probably going to be easier to return the car to standard and get rid of the other bits separately, if that's the case your top of the list for S4 bits[emoji106]
So I've come to the realisation that my tqs will most likely never emerge from the garage again, so I'm looking to sell it so thought I'd offer it up here first. I've owned this since 2010 and put about 40000 miles on it, only 2 breakdowns - 1st was the clutch & dmf, 2nd was a radiator hose...
^This^ is correct one drain is below the servo, and the other below the battery tray. If you have small fingers you can access them without to much bother, if not you can take the battery tray out. I removed my bungs fully and haven't had any problems since.
I didn't know about a servo issue...
The other thing is both battery and alternator are ok, but something else has failed causing an electrical load when the car is shut down and draining the battery that way.
Yeah check when it's running think 14.4v is about right, but i could be wrong, and see what the battery voltage is when it's shut down not sure but I'm guessing as close to 12v will be good.
Low battery can makes this happen, when my battery was on its way out I had this. But could also be the start of a failing alternator.
Do you have a multimeter?
I was looking at s4's over the summer with my a friend looking to buy one, we saw about 6, admittedly all modified, but 2 of them had alloy uprights one on an x plate one on a y. Now they may or may not have had them when they left the factory, but they have them now. It's not hard to check...
another option could be too see if you can find a facelift single din and fit that? It will be a bit of work (wiring) but it's doable, and should be able to pick everything up for less than 200 sheets.
