Unfortunately my kids have outgrown the RS3 so I’m ordering an RS6 whilst the 8V is still holding its value. My wife isn’t very impressed with me selling her car because she loves it and I’m sure I’ll regret it too

I think they’ll drop eventually but have you seen the 8Y, it’s terrible so the value might even go up on the 8V. I’ve sold my 8V yesterday and after 5 years of ownership I’ve only lost 17k, not many cars hold their value as much as that

I wonder if they’re changing the engine? The RS3 LMS has a 4 pot engine not the normal 5 cylinder, that’s why you’d make a replica on an S3 not the RS3

If you haven’t already found somewhere to repair your rim then I can recommend Transalloy in Birstall if you’re in Yorkshire. I’ve had several different styles of rims repaired both polished and powder coated and they’ve been like factory finish and on my Audi sport rims they were able to keep...
I haven’t tried a steering wheel swap on an RS3 as I already have the 8V F.L but having swapped a mk5 Golf GTI non flappy paddle to a mk6 Golf R flat bottomed with paddles and a Audi A4 S-line flat bottomed with paddles and round airbag onto a Q7 with the old style wheel and trapezoid airbag...
There’s a huge problem with saving lives by doing this and that, the world isn’t big enough for more and more people living longer and a little death now and then is natures way of culling the population down.
On a brighter note, if it’s all EU cars then we’ll all be driving American muscle...
I’ve also used the pressures in the green box but I’ve recently put winter tyres on that aren’t staggered so I went with the 235 M+S pressures

What I’ve done with my staggered setup is the pressure of the front for the wider tyre and the rear pressure of the thinner tyre.
It presumes that you have the same width front and rear but it gives you pressures for every tyre size/combo

Don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be okay, it’s only 5% different in height and it shouldn’t have much of a difference

Yes I did read it that way after I messaged you. Does it make a difference to decat the secondary cats, my view personally is that the sports exhaust isn’t loud enough, even dynamic mode is relatively quiet in comparison with other marques of car, any exhaust mods that emphasize the grunt of the...
I’m of the opposite opinion, I would rather have a functioning rear wiper for practicality reasons than to have a bung in my rear window for nothing more than purely aesthetic reasons.
I never understood why anyone would want to remove the rear wiper of any car with a slopping hatch such as the...
It’s made me quite paranoid about giving the car a bit of pasty if it’s going to spit oil out because it can’t be good for the gearbox.
I thought it would be just a breather to let warm air out and oil shouldn’t be lost unless it vaporises and passes through as a mist, maybe it’s the equivalent...
Oil smells like oil, yeah you’re right but having smelt and tasted DSG oil it definitely tastes and smells different to engine oil and it has a reddish colour to it. I know that as a fact when my DSG oil bottle ‘blew up’ and covered me from head to toe in oil while changing the gearbox oil on a...
Could possibly be a gearbox breather pipe, what does the oil smell like because that would give you some kind of clue?
