The AXX engine is coming from a golf but was thinking the bare engine may have been the same
Was thinking down the route of using all the ancillaries/auxillaries off the CDN and transferring to AXX block

Hi, posting on behalf of a friend who has an a4 with a seized engine
Hes looking for a replacement and has come across a reasonably priced golf engine
Engine is currently a CDN but replacement would be AXX, are these interchangeable?
Any advice would be appreciated

I have a set of Issam's Rifle drilled DM rods for my stroker build, which havent been fitted yet
I also have some OE rods from an APY S3 i broke if anyone wants comparison photos/dimensions
Also interested in this as i bought an A3 (AGU) which had suffered a block strainer and low pressure
Replaced strainer, checked cam caps an bottom end through sump and all looks ok ans spins over freely but wont fire
Fault code 00515 is cominfg back with cam position sensor, going to check...
Vibras have been fine on mine, i dont think it seems overly harsh or lots of vibration
Even when i took you out on the track last year i was running them
Plenty of K04 exhaust mani's about now, so many cars have been broken you should be able to get an uncracked 2nd hand one for sub £50, even i have a spare i need to get rid of
However if you are planning on really pushing the K04 to its limits then a high flow one would be advised
I have a LCR so essentially the same engine, mine was running full stage 2 mods but still OE map
At roughly 6k it used to flow over 200g/s and boost would creep up causing this fault and limp mode (someone did explain in depth why this happens)
