Its been a few weeks in the Audi now mate and although im loving the MPG, im finding myself looking for RS's and ST's lol! Its an addiction!

Thanks everyone you have been a massive help and put my mind at rest! Worst case scenario seems to be i replace it before it goes with a recon unit at my mates garage nice and cheap! So ill just keep my eye on the oil and ears on the whine! I really like the car so don't want to sell it...

I'm doing about 500 miles a week, 300-350 of which are on the motorway. And the computer reads anything between 55-60 mpg. So by the sounds of it i won't see much benefit of a remap? I bought the car because it has a FSH and has had the belts done, with the idea being it wont need anything...

So if i decide to get it mapped, will i see any gains in MPG? Will it be worth the money? I'm not after an increase in performance.

Thanks Smithy, seems like its a bit of an issue on here then. I had planned to only keep it for 3 month but i like it that much i was wanting to keep it. If the noise gets worse it will be sold, if not, ill keep it :icon_thumright:

Hi everyone new member here. The names Matt and i'm looking forward to posting on here. I've just bought a 2004 2.0tdi (140) A3 and i love it! Its not as quick as my last car (330bhp Ford Focus ST500) but i'm certainly loving the MPG! I have a question as something is worrying me about the car...
