Should I buy one. or which one to buy?
I used to own a 2004 3.2 Sportback which I loved and I am thinking of getting another one now. I know that the timing chains were uprated on later cars and that they don't suffer the dreaded wear/stretch issue that the earlier cars do, but do the newer cars...
I know from experience that narrower tyres are better on snow and slush. I learnt this 30 years ago with a UR Quattro which used to slide about and try to bounce off the scenery on the standard 215 wide tyres, but was far better on 205 or less. (I didn't try 1" wide as you suggested though)...
Just got a 2014 S3 Sportback and wondering if my 8P winter wheels and tyres are going to fit, or am I going to have to get some 18"s to go over the front calipers?
Hopefully his problems are down to the particular dealer!
I would be interested in how much they charged though? Was it easy to arrange in the first place or not?
I'm looking to buy a used Allroad and will be towing with it. If I find a car I like which doesn't have the factory fold away towbar, can I get one fitted, or will I have to get an aftermarket fixed or removable type?
DJAlix,
That's worrying, I was hoping you might be able to sort my car, which is also DSG!
ECU 022 906 032 GJ, version 6487.
I have VCDS and a scan log if any other info would help.
Is there a fix for mine?
Hi Guys,
Yet another one here!
2004 3.2 DSG Sportback which is slightly jerky on a fixed light throttle at about 2k revs and less.
Where can I get the ECU updated nearest to Leeds/Bradford area?
Cheers
John
