Regarding Comfort mode, I've found that Comfort varies quite a bit. The next time it feels too firm, cycle around to Comfort again and I'm sure it will feel more "Comfortable" :)

Not sure if its the same in the UK but we (AUS) have a SIM slot in the glovebox and you can get a Telco data SIM and insert it. This can provide Google Earth for the NAV but will cost $$$ for the data SIM plan. Just another way to get google "maps"

Where are you seeing these prices? Are you comparing the cabrio with the saloon? If not then its not "the same car with a tin roof". A quick check of the audi uk site shows only a £2600 difference between the 2 A3s. And that starting price for the S3 is that a saloon?

In case anyone comes past this thread in future... you can "sort of" do it with the AMI cable. You need to turn the dial up/down a couple of songs and then press down. For me the "songs" show as duplicates of the current song so you're basically flying blind but it will at least skip...

At least on the A3 you can do this while in motion (under 50Km/h) but you have to keep holding the button while opening/closing. A pain in the rear end! So even if VCDS can enable a one-click operation that would be great!

Also you need the Wind Deflector otherwise you get a fair bit of air coming through the front seats from behind. I can now drive over 100kph with minimal buffeting.

I use it pretty much all the time. The only time I turn it off is when I park into my garage - my driveway is on an up-hill slope and the S/S always turns off when I stop in front of the garage door waiting for the door to open. BUT it then says S/S deactivated - please restart the car!! So I...

On my Cab, even in Oz, heated seats are a welcome addition. A few months ago I did a trip up to our nearby "mountains", got down to 14C outside - had the top down, seats on 2, cosy as... and had the neck scarf thing blowing as well. yep today is 40C and the top is up and AC on full!
