    B7 Brake disc thickness question.

Hi mate, yeah.. 28mm is the specified min thickness however I've had a set on mine that were down to 26.4mm with no problems on daily roads, don't think they would last too long on a track though..lol. Personally I wouldn't go for second hand discs (unless you know the guy) as they may have had...

    Carbon clean

I got my 07 B7 with 112000 mls done in July 2016 at VES Sport in Braco...Scotland. He put it on the dyno before and after. Before the clean it was getting 276bhp at the wheels and after the carbon clean and a wee remap it was getting 335bhp at the wheels. He also told me the remap would give me...

    B7 RS4 B7 Inlet Manifold needed urgently!

The reason they wear so much is because there are plastic parts involved. The plastic parts wear and don't allow the flaps to sit properly in the idle position...hence your EPC light pings on. The guy that fitted my Exhaust had the same problem with his motor but he ordered and fitted a set of...

    Insurance up for dash cam

I recently contacted my insurer...Swiftcover, as I didn't have a dash cam fitted at time of renewal, (March) but fitted it around end of May of this year and also when I checked "my swiftspace" they had the car listed as being parked on the road overnight whereas it's actually in a locked garage...

    Miltek rs4 b7

I just got a Non Res, Valved Milltek albeit second hand, fitted to my motor 2 weeks ago and it sounds the mutts nuts. They retail for around £1700 I believe with the valves. The Exhaust I got is 2 yrs old and I got mine for £500 plus £50 fitting. In all honesty though, nothing to do with the...

Hi all, new here and some advice

Hi Tom, I got mine 3 years back with 89k on it, dealer history upto 82k and one previous keeper. The occasional Carbon clean is a must m8, its just the way these Engines are. All of the above points are fine...with the addition of Brake Discs...the fronts are prone to warping if used hard and...

    Considering an RS4 b7

Hi mate, in general the B7's are sound motors. The DRC suspension is great if you get a good one, check for any oil leaks on the Damper units and any related pipework, they're not hard to replace but can be pretty costly, I replaced mine with a set of Bilstein coilovers due to a suspension pipe...

    Mpg

I'm showing 21-23mpg just going back and forth to work which is only a 13 mile run, managed 34mpg coming up from York when I bought it.. but what these cars "show" and what they actually get are probably two different sets of figures. Does anyone know how accurate they really are??

    B8 Deano's B8 RS4

Hey Deano, awesome motor m8, I found that aswell when I got my B7...the rear calipers let the car down. The fronts you have massive 8 pots and the rears you have a single piston sliding caliper....Audi could do better I think.

    RS4 Alternative Brake Discs.

A few weeks back I looked into alternative Brake Discs that would fit my B7 RS4, I refuse point blank to pay £1200-£1400 for four Brake Discs. To cut a long story short.. With a bit of research and a local machine shop....I just replaced all 4 discs on my motor 2 weeks ago for under £400...
