Yeah was an early model DSG was about 9-10 years old and around 115k miles at the time of it starting to go.

sounds like the PRNDS flashing lights. restarting the engine should let you find a gear for now but you'll want to start reading up on the problem. I have the same problem it's the DSG going in my case, a Sensor inside it has failed. can also be caused by clutch wear apparently.

I'm officially stumped now. had the garage take out the ECU and send it off to ECUTESTING and it's tested as perfectly fine. Soooo... clutch problem? hopefully just a clutch pack replacement. anyone else had similar issues or needed clutch pack replacements? wondering what the cost of all this...

just changed mine at the weekend. at the bottom of the trim you can see a little rectangle when all the doors are open, you slide that down or to the side and then you just unscrew a couple torx screws to get the trim out. actually nvm is yours a 2 door? slightly different trims than mine

I'd go with a new wiper motor. had to replace one recently myself, if was leaking like yours was. the issue being that wiper fluid is corrosive and it will actually start eating the motor from inside out. I only noticed after my wiper kept turning its self on and refused to turn off

well that's good to hear. don't suppose you have know the part number or have a recomendations for any other slightly more sporty bumpers? If I'm going to have it replaced I might as well go with something a little nicer

So I drive a 2006 S-line a3 and had a deer jump out on me last night, it's not done a whole lot of damage but the bumper and fog light grill are goners, will take it to a garage tomorrow and make sure there's nothing more than cosmetic damage but I'm wondering if it's going to be worth going...
