Did you do this whilst going forward then put it into reverse before the car had stopped properly? I've done it a couple of times before whilst doing a quick 3 point turn and the dash has gone all red but turned engine of for 30 secs then fine.

Well it seems to have cured the oil leak, mostly. It leaves a tiny spot if parked up all day. It has helped cleaning up the old filter but not cured the problem.

I endedup not buying new filter. Instead I removed old filter and cleaned it in petrol left it to dry out, cleaned up a treat. When it came out it was coated in a thicker than usual oil, posibly old emulsified oil. I then fitted it back in. Will report back to see if it has helped in reducing...

I fitted a blanking plate to my egr around 14months ago. It has given no problems in fact id say pulls better now. Had twi mots since and never failed for emissions.

Nice job. I did the same bought a lense cleaning kit of ebay. Was dubious but cleaned up the lense a treat.
