I believe this is under the front passenger seat. The battery is expensive (I have seen a post on another forum saying it is c.£200)

If the temp doesn’t come up to around 90° after a short while then it does sound like a faulty thermostat. Likely stuck open. Fuel use would be higher as the engine thinks it’s cold so is pushing a more fuel rich mixture into the engine. I’m not sure what model/engine or age of car you have...

Perhaps a smart repair then? If you look at rear doors (A5 included) they tend to have a pointed bit where the curve over the wheel arch meets the upright. I have a similar ding caused by my youngest opening Mrs Bucks rear door onto my car #littleangels !!

Just checked for you. When I lock the car the led flashes rapidly around 4 times then stays constant for around 30 seconds (this it checking the interior space and doors I believe). Then it fully arms and goes to a flashing state.

If you don’t have the interior light pack, it’ll just be white which you can sun/brighten in the MMI options.
