Hope I've posted this in the correct place.
Just returned from having a Genuine Audi DAB Radio fitted to my 2009 Q5 by Hazzydayz. I have No affiliation with this company and I cannot say enough good things about these guys. Right from the start they told me that there was a Genuine kit available...
Me neither. didn't want it anyway even if it was just going to remove the map. I would have thought they could have backed up the map them reinstalled it following the update.
Don't know, They asked if I had modified the car since I had bought it. I told them it was mapped and the MMI was updated with the latest maps and they said it would revert back to the way it was. Didn't want to lose any of the updates I did so told them I didn't want it done.
Any Tech's on here?
I Just put the Q5 into Audi for a bit of trouble shooting with the steering plus some little jobs and was told by the Service person that there was a non safety software update for the ERG valve or something. I told them I didn't want the update when they told me it would...
Software update for the MMI 3G High was K0257 & does not need Activated
2015 Maps requires Activation following Installation or it locks you out of the Navigation.
I don't know about K0782, maybe that is for MMI 3G Basic
You can go into the settings in the MMI and get it from there.
Been out in mine today and the instructions seem to be a bit more accurate (tight) where as before it was telling me to leave on the 2nd exit off a roundabout then when I got onto the roundabout it told me to turn left too soon when...
Installed the latest MMI software update and the latest 2015 Maps yesterday. Took around 2 hours, everything seemed to go fine. Will find out today if the directions are any more accurate than the original maps. Has anyone else done the update?

That's it proved fixed. -2 degrees this morning, long press of the button and the rear window heater stays on for longer than 20 minutes & if you turn the ignition off then back on within 15 minutes the heater is still engaged. Just like it says in the book.
Still turns off after 10 minutes even if I hold down the button. I'll have to wait to see when the temperature is closer to freezing if it stays on any longer or even stays on all the time like it says in the book.
