Yeah, new and with specific options...and practical. The S3 just isn't cutting it on that count...I'd prefer 5 doors...and don't like the Sportback. I'm thinking Mk6 Golf...don't fancy paying £38000 for an R...so maybe a GTI.

I'm with Bill on this one... Having modified the hell out of my S3 to end up with a car that handled and stopped as well as it went...a mates R32 with H&R springs and a pair of Dr Schricks finest cams is the equal of it point to point. You may get bigger numbers out of the S3, but you have...

I probably would be better buying an Evo if I wanted outright performance...but wouldn't have one of those God awful things parked within 50m of my driveway! Sure they are fast, but I couldn't live with the image...and the running costs make running a 911 look cheap! Now, stop trying to rub...

£3485 for a 5 door. They do throw in full (ha!) leather - actually leather/alcantara and the usual fake leather on the bits you don't sit on - heated seats and rear side airbags on the 5 door...for your £3485. Which makes all the difference.... :whistle2: You can get Xenons now...it was...

Mk6. Only available on the Mk5s in the last little while too...maybe that'll come on the Mk6, but currently not available.

Polished Bliss mainly for me too...probably because thay are local, helpful and such genuinely decent people. They deserve to do well...

Can't get buckets on a GTI - even as an option. I'd be happy with a GTI with standard seats - but VW don't seem capable of building them! Another S3 would be nice...with buckets. But the thought of a Golf R is giving me sleepless nights :whistle2: Or rather the £39000 VW are asking for a...

I doubt it...they are S3 Recaro seats, in the correct optional fabric...neither of which I remember being offered on the A3 at the time. Why though? :whistle2:
