I went for the polo rear wiper - bolts straight on. Just need to replace the washer jet as the standard isn't compatible with the polo cap
Cheap replacement at 40 euros (arm/blade/cap)
Happy new year! Hope you had a good one
Did a few mods over the x-mas:
Aero wipers
non-heated fan jets
New S4 style grille to be put in but I want to source S4 door blades (PLUG - if anyone is selling..)
One thing I had to replace was the rear wiper motor. Waiting on the part to arrive...
I couldn't get that far so I went from the top - where the release handle is. As it snapped while trying to drop the seat.
If you can source the handle on top - don't have the part number - it's easily opened. You need to remove the handle (using force - screw driver or similar) and then do...
Same things happened to me earlier this year. I got a replacement handle from Audi - can't remember how much it was but it was cheap enough.
To open/free the catch was a pain. I ended up popping the lever on the top with a screw driver - just used force (the part I got had a new handle and...
Tom - i searched for the brake warning light.. Never looked for turning right etc with it... Thanks again for you're help on this one !!
Right -the fluid level is low. Not only that the coolant and power steering level is low too. Time to ask what the hell they did in the last service. I...
Hi - I've read on here that the Brake "red warning light" can appear when cold as an indicator the battery is getting close to EOL. my issue is similar but not the same. (I'm going to test the voltage to see if that's an issue - no idea when the battery was last replaced) But the issue seems...
Has anyone retro fitted or modified the washer jets on the front/rear of a B6 avant?
The ones I have are stock but one of the washers has a tendancy to veer slightly north of target every once in a while. Instead of replacing the stock washer has anyone fitted the newer (wider) spray jets? Or...
Dan - I never measured the speaker - but it was only a few mm larger then the existing one. If I get a chance over the weekend I'll pull the dash and measure it
Cheers - Gav
No - I never cut anything or modified a thing. Literally just glued the new speaker on top of the old (it's bust anyway) and soldered a cabled from the new speaker to the mounts. No cutting - no mods - literally took 5 mins to solder the cable onto both ends.
This is the fix - new speaker is from a walky-talky (not a kids one..). It's a little bigger than the speaker already in place so it's sitting on the existing one. I used glue dots to hold in it place and the new speaker is wired in using the red and white cable to the two mount to the left -...
