Cheers mate. I was actually looking for a 335D as I've had a few S3's already however this one was a Stage 2+ at an attractive price so I felt tempted. I went to view the car yesterday and actually decided against it wasn't really up to my standards.

Thanks for the replies guys. The seller says its definitely a Facelift from factory i.e. MY09 but just registered early. I have done a HPI which shows it was registered in July 2008. Every other Facelift I've seen is registered in September at the earliest. I'll drop a PM to Vag-tech and see...

Hi I am looking to buy an S3 and have seen a Facelift S3 (MY09) registered in July 2008, therefore an '08' plate. I've never seen this before as they're all 58 plate upwards. Has anyone else seen an 08 registered MY09 before? Also how can I confirm it's definitely MY09. I guess I can check...

Does anyone know if the leather gear gaiter can be split from the gear knob properly? My gaiter has detached itself from the knob so I was going hoping to buy just a new gaiter and attach it the old gear knob.

I wish I had checked this back sooner. I just had an oil change done by Peter Ellam (VW Audi Specialist) in Huddersfield. They appear to have done a good job but I'd have gone to Stattler instead as I always prefer to use a high performance centre.

Hi, I've just bought a 8P RS3 and I'm looking for a local specialist to carry out servicing etc, I know there are several Audi specialists in the area but I'd prefer to use a specialist that has experiences with the RS. I don't mind travelling within 30-40 miles. Cheers

£100 for the rack with 60k miles £50 labour for fitting £30 wheel alignment Not as bad as I first expected although it'll be a lot more if you bought a new/refurbished rack.

Resolved I had new suspension top mounts fitted which didn't help at all. A few days later I had the steering rack replaced and the noise has gone. Feels awesome to drive the car rattle free. Thank you all for your help.

Thanks for all the input guys. It's back in the garage having the top mounts replaced and steering rack inspected. I'll keep you guys posted.
