He used the Hankooks already fitted to the 7 1/2" rims. Swears by them.

Yes, 8 1/2" ET45. He got them from an A4.

My son's A3 with same size and offset.

They might, if it was 7 1/2" with that offset it would fill the arches nicely. Just checked with my son, he has the same on his A3, fit fine.

I'm surprised that the garage didn't disconnect the dash cam. I had my one in a couple of weeks ago and found my one disconnected when I got back. I'm pleased for you that they were too stupid and that they are putting it right, to some degree.

Don't know about the front struts, but you will have to take the bumper off to change the grille. About 20-30 minutes to remove, 30 minutes to swap the grille, same 20-30 minutes to put it back on.
