    The "RS3" project

It would be as much a problem as it is now. Perhaps a little less, as the Torsen diff makes for less front wheel spin. Pity you guys are saddled with that silly electronic device... The torsen really works wonders on my car, especially with the HPP in its most aggressive mode.

Quaife LSD now available for S3 (8P)

The Torsen (TORque SENsing) diff - available from Quaife or Peloquin's in the US - profoundly upgrades the awd 8P chassis. Accelerating mid-turn the front outer wheel receives more engine torque, pushing the nose into the turn. Combined with the more aggressive HPP, the torsen really...

    The "RS3" project

Adrian, I've just been given some film of an RS3 / S3 encounter... I need to edit it though, as it's quite long.

    The "RS3" project

In any case, the Peloquin TBD (see sig below) I had installed is better than Quaife's offering, stronger and more effectively oiled. I'll have to do a seperate review for it, such is its profound effect on vehicle dynamics.

    The "RS3" project

Trust me, business first, always. When you jump into being your own boss, you need all the cash flow you can muster. Your car is already 120% awesome as it is... The mods will wait ;-) If it isn't too indiscreet, what type of business is it? Eeef, the total cost (suspension, brakes...

    The "RS3" project

No, that is NOT the one. The actual one needed is not on their website. I ended up with two, and so I have one (brand new, never installed) just sitting at home if anyone's interested... The S3 has open front and rear diffs. Audi marketing cheats by saying there's an "electronic diff lock"...

    The "RS3" project

Here's the dyno sheet for the 400hp version, from HGP's website. This is the same kit as mine, but without the additional fuel pump and race cats. It is set at a lower boost level than mine, with slightly lower fuel pressure too: My kit is rated at 445hp and 580 newton-meters of...

    The "RS3" project

Wow, did you get the vid from the french Audi forum I posted it on, or...? Anyways, yes the car is a BEAST. It's definitely not the same car it was prior to the turbo install: it's a completely different animal... It was delivered to me here in southern France two weeks ago...

    New 2.5 TFSI engine

Believe me, Audi will make an 8P RS3. Which p**sses me off to no end because that foils my 3.2 Turbo "RS3" project.

    3.2 V6 turbo/supercharge conversion?

I already answered the pm, but I'll bring up a couple more points here: All HPA turbo kits retain factory pistons and rods - as OEM, the VR6 uses very stout items. Only the main rod bearings are changed, and to lower the compression ratio, a thick head gasket is used. There are no...

    finally lowered

Nice wheels and stance! (I actually raised mine after a while: touching parking ramps became such a nuisance). Anyways, just wanted to make sure you knew those screws can be removed. In the front, the tabs can also be folded back once the screw is removed. Just be gentle while doing it...

    3.2 V6 turbo/supercharge conversion?

Indeed, but the MkV engine bay makes that difficult: Whereas on the MkIV R32 the SC unit was located on the front of the engine, in line with the accessory belt, the MkV requires the SC be fitted to the rear of the engine. A complex driveshaft has to be used to carry drive from the belt...

    3.2 V6 turbo/supercharge conversion?

Going turbo on the 3.2 is a relatively expensive and demanding process. A more sensible approach is to stay naturally-aspirated, and go with camshafts / exhaust (not even necessarily headers and cats) / intake / and a proper remap. Keeping the standard cats and headers will cut costs...

    The "RS3" project

Yes, same engine as in MkV R32, 3.2L TT, and 3.2L Porsche Cayenne.
