Managed to clean, soaked it in vinegar, used the strand from a wire brush and all clear and working again. Cheers for the help :)

Not yet waiting for my sister to pop round, incase that doesn't work just wondered if there was a way of testing just the key-fob to determine if it was working.

Remote key fob doesn't work on my sisters A4 and only has one key, so I will try to re-synch it using Vag-Com, just wanted to know if there was anyway of testing the remote.

Hi, noticed a few times recently that on intial start-up I get a knocking noise comming from behind the glovebox, knocking lasts for about 5-10 seconds, has anyone got any ideas ?
