How common are failing wheel bearings?

I get a bit of noise around 50mph, goes after 60mph, the steering wheel is also slightly to the left when driving straight, it doesn't pull to the left though, any ideas? Jacked it up for the wobble test but they're solid, has been told previously it could be due to having two different...

Out of curiosity what would happen if you just left it?

    How easy to remove grill

Did this a week ago, prepare to be ****** off for around 2-3 hours! I'd recommend starting early, i.e. have nothing planned for the next 3-4 hours. The bumper comes off relatively easy once all screws are out, the grill though was near impossible. I ended up breaking off all of the plastic tabs...

Limp Mode due to DPF failure - how far can I travel?

I did it from Manchester to Stafford, around 50ish miles, you should be fine. The main problem is the lack of acceleration so just be careful, if you treat it softly it should pick up a little quicker than flooring it.

Had a bump in my A3 leaving me with a dent on the wheel arch.

Wouldn't been about that yeh. They buffed up the whole car, removed a few scratches and scrapes and refurb'd the wheels for £500, wouldn't say they were amazing but next closest quote was over £1k!

Take it to a local bodyshop, I had a similar crease on the rear arch (worse actually) and they got it out no problem.

    Removing bumper - help!

Just bent it back on both sides and undid any screws I saw underneath plus the bolt. So are the 2 rubbery screws torx? Having another go in a min.

    Removing bumper - help!

If you mean the bolt the arrow's pointing too that's already off, it's the rubber things labelled a and b I'm struggling with, can't see how they come away. All screws taken out underneath, it's only sticking next to the lights so am pretty sure it's just those rubbery things.

    Removing bumper - help!

Right, i'm stuck on the lil plastic bits shown below (A&B), how do you remove them/which tool? So close!

    Removing bumper - help!

So i've spent the last hour undoing all of the torx screws etc but it's refusing to budge, seems reluctant close to the headlights on both sides, anything i've missed or any tips? Been following this Fourtitude.com - DIY: front bumper removal and blackout grille install (think i've just...

Replacing/swapping cracked full size grille - any recommendations in Manchester?

Cheers guys, might have another look at the weekend and see how it goes. Had a crack on it a few weeks ago but gave up after it started ******* down. Does the car need to be jacked up to get to the screws at all?

Replacing/swapping cracked full size grille - any recommendations in Manchester?

As above really, bought the car with a cracked grille last year, now have the replacement part but really don't fancy taking the whole bumper off in case I scratch it, can anyone recommend a decent small/cheap bodyshop near central Manchester to do the job? Been quoted around £100+vat which...

2.0 TDI - PD170 - Injector recall and now problems with DPF - £2k nightmare

I'd stick to your guns for now and see what they offer, they should have picked it up though really, especially if they forced a regen. Worst case scenario they refuse to help, just have it deleted for circa £500.
