Hi all,
I’ve recently been having the engine management light come on for the EGR insufficient flow (p0401 code).
It’s intermittent and comes on once every couple of weeks or so.
I’ve done some research on the forums and it’s seems like a right pita to diagnose the exact issue and an EGR...
I don't think you'd have done any damage at all.
That clutch is designed for much more abuse than that. You're probably just analysing and worrying about it more because we are all a little precious about our own cars.
Its probably smells because at only 1500 miles I recon its still bedding in.
I would imagine that the 2.0 tdi would have more than enough torque for it to be a relaxed drive with good MPG.
As @V6Tom above, my 3.0 tdi gets mid 40's on average. I do probably 80% town driving so I would exect yours to be much better.
Is yours quattro because that can have an effect on...
No I don’t think that’s the case. If you map out the egr valve then it will destroy your dpf real quick but the swirl flaps have no effect on the dpf [emoji1360]

I think the repair kits are about £12 per side now from Audi so not expensive at all.
I would imagine a garage would probably charge for half a day? I would think that they will deem that all sorts of parts need removing to replace them (technically they do but there are ways around removing...
Yeah P210500 is the swirl flap issue.
I cant tell if that is the left bank or right but better to replace both at the same time. Get the part from audi direct, unbelievably its cheaper from them than anywhere online!
You'll see a lot of guides that say that you need to remove all sorts of bits...
I've had my fair share of issues with my B8 but please don't get an M3 (or any other BMW) purely in the hope that it wont have issues like the Audi's.
BMW's are as riddled with problems as any other German manufacturer.
My advice is to drive each car and get whichever you prefer to drive. They...
I've been looking into this myself.
Seems like a fairly easy job to swap the bulbs. Mine are still working fine but Id rather have a more white look than the halogen yellow so LED.
P13W are the bulbs required and to access these, the headlights needs to come out (fairly easy) and a couple of...
Lovely looking car. Nice low mileage.
Mine is quite a bit older (2009) but I've had it about 6 years. Bought it with 30k now just about to hit 100k.
The engine is fantastic and yours will be a newer generation than mine but there aren't really any problems with them so long as they are...
Its really hard to tell what it might be.
Could you get someone to help you by sitting in the car while stationary and trying the throttle at different positions while you are in the engine bay trying to narrow down the location of the metallic tapping?
I has this error sporadically on my car for a while. When it gave the error though the left caliper wouldn't hold.
I had the brake pads and disks changed about 3 months ago and not had a single error since. Maybe try some contact cleaner in the plug and failing that take the caliper off and see...
I'm not an expert but there is a large thread here that covers cars from 2009-2011 so maybe it was rectified after that?
