    You might get the same thing happen at the wiper end, I did a post on it some years ago to remedy it. The connector usually breaks.

    This is what I've been charged by a garage On the invoice the filter was stated as being genuine, the tie rod end not buts seems expensive and doesn't appear genuine hence the original question.

    Good work ! Not that easy to swap over and would hate to do it on the roadside. After my pedal failing I keep a spare in the boot just incase.

    I had to compress the spring (held with zip ties) to get it in the correct position. It was near impossible to get it in without doing so

    Happy to report these units work ok it's just a shame audi designed the wiring / headlight so badly you either splice wires or cut headlight unit
