Ok I am answering my own question here, swapped over module under cab back seat for an ebay £12.50 part and all good alarm sets inside and out long red flash on door leds gone, rock car and now alarm goes off and no coding so plug and play

Need a little help On my b7 cab if I set alarm, door leds blink then long red light then blinks as normal, I can't set alarm off if I tilt or rock the car from outside, if I lock car with me in it, goes off if there is movement so all ok and door deadlocks work, so could it be the movement...

will answer my own post, WD40 squirted downwards in the door latch just cured it, think when audi services cars they grease the catch causing the microswitch to gunk up anyway its fixed, good old wd40,

Center light is easier to pop out inner center cover to change bulbs, you can get white covers off but could could scratch them ,

On mine the central locking cable goes though where you would screw repair bracket that's on a convertible, so I had to replace the whole thing, and don't be too hard on her they always snap on left hinge as th post before said the damper dries out
