That's what I would do if I had the same issue. It's not difficult to do and will eliminate that from the equation if the problem still exists afterwards.

It could be worn contacts on the indicator/hazard relay. Might be on its way out. Had to change mine recently.

Not tried bleeding yet. Can't see how it would suddenly get air in it. I haven't done anything to the car and I can't see any leaks around the gearbox or calipers, and then would it suddenly be alright again if there was air in there?

I think you'll find the Saikoumichi's will be about the same price as the Design Draft ones. The only reason I got the Saikou's so cheap last time was because I kept emailing them back with more numbers on the group buy, and kept knocking them down. Either way, its definately worth getting.

It could never supply the amount of air needed by the engine. Better off to just get some 4" ducting from the front bumper to the cone, and then put some sort of heat shield around the cone.

I would imagine you'll be fine. I've read of other people doing this with 19/16mm reducers on the catch cans because they couldn't get a can with 19mm connections, and they seem to have no problems.
