    Where is the foot rest?

I will keep you informed "Jose" after I have driven the new ute. I should think it will be much better than my current Ford Falcon 4.0 litre Turbo straight six ute which still has the "ancient" leaf spring suspension at the back. The new ute has multi-link independent suspensions at the back. If...

    Where is the foot rest?

You are quite right "Jose", the ute is really a "sport" car with a large "boot", but it suits me well as I am a small volume builder, which means I am "jack of all trades", have to carry a step ladder, drop saw, circular saw, drill, jigsaw, hack saw, bolt cutter, shovel, nail guns (framing and...

    Where is the foot rest?

Ordered a new ute for myself, can't let the wife has all the fun with her S1. A Holden (Vauxhall) Commodore ute, 6.0 litre V8 engine but not faster than the S1.

    Hello from New Zealand!

Welcome neighbour, Tim, (NZ is quite "near" to Canberra. Aus.) Must say that white with black top looks very good too.

    Where is the foot rest?

Quite agree with you "CSY", if LHD has footrest, RHD should also has one..Discrimination against us who drive on the "correct" side of road? Ha.Ha.Ha.

    Thinking about an S1

Lucky country down under, Audi is having "drive away" pricing on all Quattros..standard S1 is A$49,990 on the road here.. ie. about 25,800 pounds. Mine cost A$51,800 (26,700) on the road including "black top" and "interior pack", plus 3 years free schedule services.

    My new S1

Just washed and polished my OtherHalf's for the first time, thank God I have a garage, it is rainning now. "Claud19", your 3 doors looks fantastic, didn't know there are so many combinations of Yellow..

Are we having the correct side mirrors?

Now I understand the saying "Hard to train an old dog new trick"...It will take me longer to adjust as I only get to drive the S1 at the weekends, my daily drive is a Ford ute which has the same layout as our Mazda CX9 and Honda Jazz.

    Nogaro Blue S1

Thanks "Struttgartrob", sounds logical, I will have to get use to it as all my other cars are different to the S1. Or I could by a LHD's driver side mirror to put on my S1, then both side mirrors will have a wider view?

Are we having the correct side mirrors?

Thanks "Jose", guess I will have to get use to the differences between S1 and all my other cars which have a wider viewed passenger mirror and of course the indicator stalk and wiper stalk on the steering column also different. (keep using the wiper blades to tell others road users that I am...

Are we having the correct side mirrors?

Talking to one other member in the OzAudi forum about the side mirrors on our S1. Driver side's mirror has a split for wider view and the objects in the mirror seem to be "smaller", the passenger side just a normal mirror. I thought it is rather "unusaual" as it should be the other way round...

    Nogaro Blue S1

Just a matter of interest since yours is LHD..and I couldn't see the side mirrors in all your photos. Has your driver side mirror got a vertical split for wider view? I thought the side mirror with the "split" should be on the passenger side for safer overtaking?

    Saving Up For an S1

Apparently the Mini Cooper S is the best mini made so far, but some don't like the look of the new front. Probably a better choice if you are doing over 250,000 mile a year. Would love to see you to get a S1, so we can see the high milege driving reports on S1.

    Nogaro Blue S1

More "yellow" the better. Children will have a good game of "spotto" that's if they are quick enough to see one. "yellow" really suits the S1..

    My new S1

Welcome to the Forum "Claud19"..Good to see another "Yellow", excellent choice indeed. (only because we got one but a 5 doors version). The worst point so far with ours is lack of reverse camera, the parking sensor couldn't detect road side concrete curve..scratch the back wheel slightly...
