    What you listening to today

Last night (Monday) had a 90s evening, while cooking dinner. Sheryl Crow. Such as well crafted and polished track. Early Manic street Preachers. My favourite track from Radiohead. Not a huge fan but this reminds me so much of 'Paint It Black' by The Stones, from 'The Bends' album. Wicked.

Have been listening to Semisonic. They had a few big hits back in the 90s. And some Foo Fighters

Love this track, Ghost. However, I can't stick Fleetwood Mac and 'Rumours' is probably an album your parents would like. It's the same with a lot of Michael Jackson's solo stuff, Coldplay... just too kitschy for my taste.

One album I can happily listen to all the way through is XTC's 1982 album 'English Settlement'. Elvis Costello 'King Of America'. Another fabulous album.

    Alfa Romeo thread

Okay, finally in a position to write an honest review of the Giulia Veloce. It's taken me a while for two reasons: Firstly, I had to dig out my notes I made and trying to write a legible way is not easy for a half-wit like yours truly. Secondly, I wanted some sort of benchmark for a similar aged...

Hope you don't mind me asking. Did I read you come from north of the border? You may like this band. Little story: In December 1982 The Jam played their farewell gigs at Wembley Arena. Their support band was these guys. The best gig I've ever attended in terms of pure adrenalin rush. From the...

Really like the Wombats. The singer reminds me a little of Terry Hall of The Specials and Fun Boy Three. Returning to a soulful sound. Eli 'Paperboy' Reed. He image doesn't match the sound. A sublime song.. Also really like Weezer. Love this vid from their blue album. Happy Days. Eyy. And...

What TV programmes/DVD are you watching tonight?

I'm not a big TV fan but I do like programmes from the 1970s and 80s. As a big fan of Brian Clemens writing, I'll watch a couple of episodes of The Professionals. Partial to a bit of Bodie, Doyle and Cowley What a theme tune.

New fourth-generation Ford Focus ST Line - May tempt me away from Audi

That's a failing of most dealerships. Once they've grabbed your money they tend to be less than cooperative. I know a couple of people (yup, it's true) that's had Focus STs (various ages) and they said build quality and reliability were fine. I believe you'll be hard pushed to find any car...

    Your ideal 3 car garage.

They were quite funny little bikes. As with Lambrettas and Vespas, they are a part of our motorcycle heritage.
