Thank you JoJo and tuffty! I thought I would just follow this up and let you know what happened.
I went to PSi tuning to get the car scanned on Saturday morning (charged just 1/2 hour labour) and they were very helpful rang them at 9:20am to see if they had any spare slots and they offered...
Hey guys apologies if this has been covered or is really obvious but any help would be much appreciated.
I just went for a blast down the local bypass as I haven't given the car a good drive for a long while. The traction control was on, I never really turn it off but after I had put my foot...
epox - I think it is possible to change just the pump part of the system and keep your current circuit board so it doesn't mess up keys. Annoyingly it was the circuit board it seems that has been causing me trouble.
Westy - yeah Olds_Kool said he would send stuff over just trying to get it done ASAP. Will check inbox now.
epox - the central locking pump contains the circuit board refered to as the convenience module if I am right? It controls the windows and interior lights and few other things I think.
Right got a new central locking pump from local scrappy and fitted it and the windows have power and work fine! Not sure about interior lights yet.
My problem is now coding the keys. If anyone knows how to do it please let me know it will be much appreciated!
Thanks
Jonny/Poke13
Thanks Westy, I was thinking of trying a breakers yard nearby for one but it may be best to speak to Olds_Kool first! Can't wait to get my windows working again!
Bit of a revive of the thread but after getting the car through it's MOT Im now thinking of sorting this electric window/interior light issue.
If I get a new central locking pump to try will anything need re-coding or will it just be a swap?
Does anyone know the part number for an S3 8L...
Im pretty sure on the sticker that is on the inside of petrol cap it says 36psi all round for 3 people with a little luggage (i guess a good average so i normally stick around this unless being loaded up).
I am so tempted to come to this it's just a fair drive, have always wanted to see what you guys thought of how my S3 is running etc.
I have always felt a bit in the dark as to whether my car has been mapped or not and obviously I should get a definitive answer at Badger5.
Would also love to...
It must be the connection to drivers door electric window switch, although that doesnt explain interior light? Found this fuse box diagram on another thread. Seems there is no fuse for electric windows? Is it part of CL fuse?
Well I did fix the broken plastic clip on the door window glass last year so yes the connection may have popped out, I think fuses and then door contents may be first places! When you say fuse number how do you know what number is for what? Handbook? I have cover off already ready to investigate...
