I buy often and never had issues with retrofits. Be aware that the supply chain starts in China, so most of the time these are oem parts, you'd see the logos scratched off.

If the car has push button start in the center lower console area, you should have keyless entry which includes the touching of the front handles.

It's basically the same car, sans slightly larger turbo, tiny bit of beefed up internals and dsg ratios.
A3 to rs3 is another story, but then again it's a ton more money too.

Check out the wiring diagram above, but for the 3 wire, should be some combination of +/-/data. Again it uses a pwm signal so you can't hook up with just a switch.

I have lighting in my base 2015 US spec a3 and thought this would be plug and play. I have enabled all coding, but cannot get the lighting to be controlled through the mmi, and my rear doors (saloon) refuse to turn on too.
Is there another module that has to be changed other that the door...
I'd suggest getting an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. The oil light on these cars turns on when damage is already most likely done.
Last time, dealer told me to keep driving it, WITH the light on. [emoji2357]
