Welcome. There is a simple coding needed to avoid the flickering. IIRC it's also explained in the thread I mentioned.

The connectors are different so you need a new wiring loom to connect the rear roof lights to the front. There is a thread on that specific retrofit in the forum. I'm not sure what was the thread title but you may find it easily if you do a search.
