    What options to get?

Thanks all. Car ordered. Ended up going S-Line not BITDI as I felt the 20" wheels gave a firm ride around London. Specced; Sunroof Parking Pack Privacy Glass Ambient Lighting Tech Pack Folding Mirrors Delivery should be mid November. Pretty excited actually. Got a really good deal on it too...

    What options to get?

Ok so I am going to order the A6 Black Edition. The car seems to have some decent kit already but I wanted to know what essential add ons you recommend? I will already be adding sunroof and Havana Black paint. Is the Technology Pack worth paying extra for?

    Advice required re repair

Ok an independent called Mastertechs in the Kingston upon Thames area local to me quoted £220 plus Vat subject to full inspection. This includes paintwork. That seems more than reasonable to me - just wanted to verify whether anyone had heard of these guys?

It's on the bit near the windows where there is a ridge if that makes sense. About 2 inches above the door handle where the contour in the bodywork is. So it's the ridge that has got a ding in it. Suspect an arm and a leg will be the answer coming back from Audi on the cost :(

It's Daytona Grey if that helps? I don't have a pic but the damage is maybe 2 inches of paint scraped off, and the ding is maybe half a centimetre in depth

lol! I had £250-£300 as a wild guess - for £4k I would expect a whole brand new side of the car

    Advice required re repair

Gents Some swine has heavily opened their door into the side of my 6 week old A3 sportback with the result that not only has paint been removed but there is also a slight ding in the front door panel on the passenger side. Of course they didn't leave their details..... I am not going to go...

How do you open the fuel cap?!!?

Just picked up my new car, loveliness indeed but I forgot to ask the sales guy how to open the fuel cap? Help! :)

    4 sleeps to go!

Indeed I did 5 lessons with the BSM including a motorway session. All on an auto. What I did notice was how inordinately difficult it is to stay below 30 in an auto where you aren't controlling speed partly with gear changes. London driving wasn't too bad I thought - damned cyclists and...

    4 sleeps to go!

So as luck would have it I got the call from the dealer saying my car is ready for pick up on Saturday, 4 weeks ahead of initial schedule. She is a 1.2 A3 Sportback S line S Tronic in Daytona grey with sunroof, pre sense basic, assisted parking, sunroof, Bang and Olufsen speakers, comfort pack...

When the 3 year period ends on your PCP deal..

I was a first time car buyer but as somebody who runs sales teams for a living I know all the tricks and the products the sales guys will get commission on. For example I ensured I purchased the Autoglym treatment (for which the sales guys get high commission overrides) and I made it clear I was...

    1.2 engine - thoughts?

So basically the 1.2 should be fine? £30k for a 1.2litre was somewhat surprising and I just wanted to check the car would be sufficiently powerful for hoiking the Mrs and our baby due in October round London and perhaps one motorway trip a month down to my mum in Sandbanks,Dorset

    1.2 engine - thoughts?

I ended up ordering my Sportback S-Line with the 1.2 as I was advised it was perfect for someone like me who will use it to nip around London and no more than 5000 miles a year. I am worried though that it may be a bit underpowered although the dealer reckoned it was a far more sensible buy for...
