    Haven't heard that and I work for Audi! We advise the ignition procedure, the one you described I believe works if you have 2 keys in the absense of VCDS/5051. The ignition process is for older keys and only works with some flip keys I believe.

    Unlock car with the key in the door, put the key in the ignition but don't start it then hold the lock or unlock button for a few seconds. That's how mine pairs back up anyway.

    AFN engine is 110. There's a little whistle when I lift off on mine, more so with a de-cat.

    weekend cambelt dilemma

    If you're mechanically minded and mark everything up then you'll be able to do it in a day. Book time is 3 hours, parts are about 100 quid from the dealers AFAIK. It's pretty easy if you don't rush it.

    According to Audi Vehicle management system there's no data whatsoever on it's mileage. Blackburn Audi sold it and that's it. It left the dealers with 57 miles on it. It also has 3 outstanding recalls on it.
