For Sale Audi A3 Quattro Race Car

I'm selling Audi A3 Quattro race car, minus engine and front brakes, as these have already sold. The rest of the car is complete, and a very high spec. There are poly side windows including slider on the drivers window, retaining the front and rear glass windows for safety. The interior is...

Sold A3 Quattro 8L Race Car for sale/breaking

The time has come to part with my high spec 8L A3 Quattro race car. It's never getting used, and it is unlikely to any time soon. I built the car 6 years ago to race in hill climb and sprint, but have raced about 3 times since then, and done a couple of track days only, so it needs to go to a...

Ah, I didn't see the link to click through. You're correct. I thought they were the same as the second item you've posted above.

These are different. They move the hub on the outside of the beam, not the actual beam itself. Therefore these won't affect the spring angles.

Have you considered "drop plates" that move the hub back, instead of up/down? After a short googletude, it turns out they're called wheel centering plates: https://www.ecstuning.com/News/MKIV_WheelCenteringPlates/

    My A3 Quattro

No water meth. @badger5 was twisting my arm while I was there. However, 50 degree IAT and 20 something timing, I'm happy for now. If I change my mind, I'll look at the IO I have left, and see if I can run it from the ECU.

    My A3 Quattro

Good news - the bolt had come loose. Seal seems fine, so refitted it. Just need some gearbox oil now.

    My A3 Quattro

Thanks. Spoken to Vince, and he's said internals are most likely fine. However, the bolts don't normally come loose, the normally shear. So I'm going to drag it off the trailer today, and see if I can find an hour to pull that out. If not, I'm on holiday next week so it will have to wait until...

    My A3 Quattro

Thanks Nick, I'm pleased, especially as IATs were 50C! Yes, very early. 1 bar boost by 3750RPM, peak of 30psi at 6000, and still has 26psi at the 8300 rev limiter. There was no indication of the loose flange on the dyno, which is kind of good news. When we pulled the car off Bill found all the...
