Update GOW Motor Services sorted the cp removal but unfortunately the stereo doesn't work now! AC controls work great but stereo is totally dead. Any ideas what the issue could be? GOW weren't keen to take the job on to repair so if I can't fix it myself I'll need a good auto spark or Audi...

Hi folks, i'm about to swap my AC control in my B8 A4 Avant to the B8.5 control and the stereo head unit too. I believe I will need to have CP removed can anyone recommend someone to do this remotely or in central Scotland area? Tia!

Where do you live bud? I'm due you beers! I ran a 3 core cable from the TV antenna round to the existing location for the DAB amp to keep it where it should be. Great fix and soldering onto the blobs of solder on the TV side was easy enough. If Carlsberg made diy repairs haha

When the new amp arrives i'll give it a go, failing that its new window time unless I can work out a shark fin type solution

The way I see it I have nothing to lose by attempting a repair, excess plus increased premium plus tint would be my last resort, will be an awkward angle to get in and solder but nothing to lose by trying it
