To be fair it took the fronts over 2000 miles to de glaze. I guess I just don't brake much.
When I traded my 335d in on 43k miles I still had 8mm of pad left from 9.5mm when new.
No it lives all over. My old 335d didn't have this issue, and I used it for the same work.
It's due a service in 2 months time at 16k so I'm going to claim for new ones via the warranty, as this isn't wear and tear.
Ta da!
Scored, pitted, corrosion. All from under use from the look of it. Pads are hardly touched.
Considering it does on average 2000 miles a month, it shouldn't look like this.
That was me.
I had the full fuel system changed.
Pump
Fuel rail
Injectors
Aux pump
Fuel Pressure Reg
It was the Pressure Reg, but I was ******* ****** off at the time and demanded everything was changed. An updated pressure reg should be fitted to all new RS3's.
Guys,
There is a story behind all this.
IT IS NOT THE KEY!
Its the fuel system (Mine died and it has a normal key).
My car did this 3 months ago. It was stripped down and checked over by some Renn Sport bods while back at the dealer.
The fix should be a recall after the diag work was done...
