Well when I picked it up it sounded noisier and the gear change wasn’t as smooth but over the next few days it’s Settled down and is so much better now. Lovely smooth gear changes and very quiet now.

I had mine done last week by Audi dealers and it had done 50k since its first gearbox service. I’d get it done and tbh Audi dealers are just as cheap for the gearbox service.

Give them a ring,I did just to check which size I needed and they were very helpful

I’ve not long fitted Mtec drilled discs all round to mine and seem ok tbh, not used them in angry yet. It came down to these or zimmermans and as they had a offer on went for these.

So had the car back from the dealer and it turns out the oil and coolant leak was the oil cooler which has been replaced.

So my new A6 3.0tdi has a water leak, it empty’s the expansion tank over a few days. Took it to a garage and they think it’s the head gasket as they added block test fluid and it’s detected exhaust gases in the coolant which it did! Any chance this could be the EGR cooler and not the head...

Sounds like your regulator has failed. Had a loud crunching noise from my old A4 and the window got stuck open. Motor tried to working but it wouldn’t close, stripped door to find the regulator had completely failed and the crunching sound was the gears chewing themselves up. Don’t buy a cheap...

So after 12yrs of owning my 1.8t quattro Avant I’ve decided to move on and bought myself a hi spec’ed A6 c7 3.0 v6 TDI quattro Avant. Still got the b6 but haven’t decided what I’m going to do with it yet. Anyway here’s a pic of the old girl and one of the new A6.

So a update on wiper blades. Took them back to Halfords and it turns out the plastic clip wasn’t made properly so wouldnt go on. Go another one and it went straight on without a hitch. So fitted the fan jet windscreen washers I ordered. So what next, anyone got any ideas for cheapest mods?

Also found out I have MMI 3G+ but have no idea what that means or if it’s any good? Been told it will need a update so how do I do that?
