Intermittent oil pressure light

As title says, it’s not always on a goes off and on again in the space of 5 mins.

Have cleaned sump and pickup, wasn’t very dirty at all.
Light didn’t come on after 10mins at idle to warm up and check for leaks but after 2 mins of driving very gingerly it did.

What’s next? Some sort or sensor? Oil pump?

1 give it a scan 2 Get an oil pressure tester on it 3 check your oil pressure sender switch! there a plenty of threads on here about oil pressure have a look and a good read...

My money is on the oil pump. They don’t last forever. Has it been changed before? If not, it’s probably that.

Just done the oil pump and the pressure switch. New oil n filter. Light seems to be staying off!

I had the same problem about a week ego, just replace the sender unit and the problem is fix
