S3 boot badge

Hi all,I have a question and sorry for the poor quality picture but is this a genuine S3 badge or an aftermarket one because I’ve only ever seen the red square with S3 badges?,the one on my grill is the same design with a slightly faded red now,thanks in advance

You assume correctly,it’s a year 2000 (W reg),but mine hasn’t got the Quattro lettering under the badge on the grill so am I assuming right that this has been lost over the years and not replaced or wasn’t on there to begin with?,also the boot lid badge is on the nearside rear and not on the offside as the diagram shows and again with no Quattro lettering?,so again has this been lost or not on there from leaving the factory?,sorry for all the questions but I’d like to get the car as authentic as I possibly can,thanks again
