How do you update your maps on the A6/A7? Since I have had the car I haven’t been out with Scotland and I have had quite a few updates. Last week I drove eto the south of England and thought the maps would update for central and the south east but after a week away they still are 2019 version. There doesn’t seem anyway to force an update.

My car updates itself every now and again, it downloads the update then installs it. The ignition needs to be on for it to complete the update.

are you signed in to MyAudi?

Yes all signed in - I’d even check by seeing if I could get Amazon Music.

My Satnav had done exactly what you say when at home but didn’t do it when away and I did at least 22 hours driving in total.

Not sure it is as instantaneous as one would hope/like. You can download the full set of map data from the MyAudi website and upload to the car. If you have a newer 2020 on car (with MIB-3) you will need a USB-C card reader to do it as there is no longer an SD-Card slot in the armrest

Thanks I’ll try that

Hi,
what that I've seen is that whit the autoupdate, the maps installed into the car are newer if compared with the 32GByte file that can be downloaded from the Audi.com site. Actually on the site the map file is 2021.1 while in the car (with autoupdate on) the version is 2021.4
