Wanting to start upgrading and tuning my B7 2.0 Quattro but on a budget with child on way. Any suggestions as to where maybe to look or start....was thinking the air intake to begin with.

Easy mod is to Pop an ITG panel filter in the standard air-box, remove the foam sound deadening in the air-box if your after some more noise.

Noise is fun but HP and TQ is better lol so unless it added there I'd just leave it in personally

I doubt you will notice a huge hp gain by just adding a CAI.

Don’t bother with a cold air intake then…. An “affordable” CAI is a waste of money if your chasing HP without any other mods. A panel filter will let the engine breathe easier and you can clean them out, so better in the long run. I found a better throttle response and MPG from just putting an ITG in the standard air-box.

Check for boost leaks - Get a panel filter, silicone inlet turbo hose, FMIC and a map. Oh and make sure you have the latest revision diverter valve, or replace if it’s been in a while.

Or… no mods, just put a map on it.
