Maybe this is me but I'm having issues with the child safety locks on the back doors.

One rear door can be open from within, the other cannot. I've pulled the rubber grommet off the keyhole in the door and used the key in the fob to try and turn the safety lock to open. Neither door lock seems to be able to turn more than a quarter turn before springing back to where it started.

Ive checked the system in another other car (not Audi) which has virtually identical setup and that works perfectly.

Anyone else had an issue?

The child locks are electronic on the drivers door - Bottom of the window switches - Well they were on the 8V and I don't think that's changed

I thought that was just for the windows, not actually opening the doors from the inside?

No it has a picture of a child on each one - I used to put it on when my Mother-In-Law was in the car because she had Dementia and sometimes when you pull up she would just fling the door open.

Ah right, maybe that's why the keyhole in the door shut doesn't work...

My child's older and usually sits in the front so it's never been an issue until yesterday when she couldn't get out.

I'll try that later

I only found out by accident once when I gave a work colleague a lift and she couldn't get out lol

Me too - work colleague in the back of the car - could not open the door. Spent hours looking for the control to turn off - as my Golf and all other cars it was hidden in the door pillar / surround.
