Audi Refuse Rejection Pt3

Hi All

posted a while back about VWFS refusing to accept my rejection due to the electrical issues with MMI parking sensors ect. I decided to go to the Financial Ombudsman and within 3 weeks they sent VWFS a strongly worded letter basically advising they are to take the vehicle back and not to take the p*ss out of their customers basically. To which VWFS accepted

I am glad about the decision, I am sad however as I loved my A3 eapecially as it was turbo blue edition 1 with pan roof however I shouldnt have to pay so much and have these issues daily on more than one occasion. Today I collect my new A5 edition 1 Navarra Blue and very excited. For anyone with an A3 with issues like mine; MMI SOS parking sensors ext I would suggest taking videos and pictures with the date clearly in view as this was instrumental to my case and me winning.

Glad you got things sorted out with the A3. Look forward to pics of the A5.

Glad you got the result you wanted however there seems to be a new solution, one which a number of customers and people I know are opting for as it’s way less painful, We Buy Any Car!

had a number of 8Y’s over recently in order to remove retrofits and coding as they were being sold because owners were fed up with them. When I asked why don’t you just reject them as they are so new the answer has always been “we buy any car” is offer more than we actually paid so it’s a way less painful situation / faster option.

Yes, though the cars are now off their hands, the 'new' owners may be back on this forum, and the cycle of electrical gremlins repeats! I guess I'm lucky (touch wood) that my A3 (2 USB Cs) hasn't had any gremlins except the SOS ping (oh and once the dipped reverse mirror didn't raise up again, but twist of mirror knob sorted it), which is limited to certain areas I drive only. Other than that the car drives well.

Must say I've considered this too - I won't lose any money on the car (bought ex-demo in Jan) and can use the money I've saved since then to upgrade.

Yep all they'll do is wash it and stick it back up for sale.. and hope the next guy won't complain
