Based on my experience your best bet is to either order or just keep checking auto trader for new cars that have been cancelled but still built. I wouldn’t be paying over list for one of these cars, brings it too closely in line with new cars from the class above, M3, RS 4, low spec Caymans etc.
I've observed over the last 15months, dealers in North West appear to get a bigger chunk of cars coming through. If distance is not an issue, Crewe Audi are worth a call. Standard colour and Standard spec and saloon's are quicker to be delivered [~ 6 months], whereas Vorsprung + Sportsback and specific colours are very slow or are still in waiting since the books opened. If you scan the Autotrader, well over 100 cars registered by the dealers with over the top retail price and still awaiting to be sold
Some on here will be selling their cars on myself included probably when they arrive late March ?? I won't be asking too much over todays list....
I had that build week too until it was pulled to move to MY23 and three weeks or so on, Audi have still not reallocated the new build week for me! I will probably order an M3 Touring now as I really liked it when I saw and sat in it at the Festival of Speed. The order books open in September and I bet that from the point of order, I will not be waiting 8 months and still have no idea when the car will be built or delivered and will probably get this car quicker than the RS3 too.

I don't know if you'd want it but I have an order for a Daytona Vorsprung Sportback with the dynamic pack on order from the start of December last year you can have when it arrives? I don't know how it would work selling a build slot or someone else collecting when the car arrives or whatever, might be too much of a faff, but the offer is there and only want list for it to cover the car.
Isn't that just so the dealer can get their mits on it? And wouldn't that mean you're a) in the hands of the dealer and their potential price increase on list, and b) lose control over who the car is sold to. If the dealer has someone already sniffing around for a car who's a previous customer, they might offer it to them instead.
That's pretty good. I guess the only part we don't know is what price the new owner paid over list?

Really poor that. I’ve heard more and more stories about dealerships who don’t really seem to want to bother at the moment. Will be a different story when more cars start being build again and they are trying to shift them.
It's interesting that you say that because MSG have always been good to deal with me. I've only been asking every couple months for updates, so nothing too excessive I'd say, but always seemed happy to deal with my request.
I've "only" been waiting for 3 months, which I know is nothing compared to a lot on here, but I'm already considering calling Audi UK and saying if the next batch isn't the turbo blue sportback variety, I'll
their factory down 
Get off yer soap box mate I'd of told you the same .....there's no doubt thousands of people in the same situation that have ordered a Audi me included .....deal with it
It's to do with UK models/market ie not Audis first priority nothing else
. Manufacturers ought to make the damned cars quicker!
