Hi All

Just spoke to the dealer regarding getting the timing belt done and they said the 5years part has been removed by Audi so its just 140,000 miles now. An unexpected bit of good news.

They also said it has a recall 23CO outstanding for the ECU/DPF. It would remove my remap so I would need to get it reapplied. The worrying thing they said was it could destroy the ECU if I got the recall applied so it was at the customers risk.

I can't find any info on this recall. Anyone have any info on it?

Cheers

Dave

How would it destroy the ECU & it's at your risk if it's a recall update, that's the most stupid thing I've heard a dealer say.

Now if you advised you have a remap, they may have used a bit of scaremongering, but if it's returned to absolute stock code before the update, then only way they could damage the ECU is via the update & their actions.

I would ask for more clarity from them how they can advise of a recall & say it's your issue if we feck it up.
