    New car - any freebies?

I got a tank of fuel, mats, cargo net for boot, a lightning cable for car kit and an ice scraper (I think the ice scraper was because I’d banged on and on about the Mrs having a heated windscreen on her Corsa and yet it wasn’t even available as an option for me) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cruise control not maintaining speed going downhill

Mine (2019 A3 35 TFSI Manual) definitely applies the brakes to keep on the set speed, very rarely see it go even 1mph over when going down hill or 1mph under when going uphill. I even use it to brake/slow down for junctions sometimes by reducing the set speed with the cruise stalk. Sent from...

    Next model A3

Can now configure the new A3 on the iOS app (and I’m guessing the website too). My spots: Sline seems to have lost the flat bottomed wheel (now an optional extra). Folding mirrors now standard As there is no tech pack because VC is now standard wireless charging is now an optional extra. It...

    Next model A3

I paid less than what they are saying the new one starts at for an 8v Sline 5dr 35 TFSI Sportback 68 plate with Tech pack (new from a dealer). Crazy, although I'm sure the discounts will come quickly, can't imagine many people will pay the RRP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Next model A3

if you have Tech Pack on the current A3 I don't really think there is much of an upgrade other than the parking space thing it mentioned in the carwow review and USB C instead of A (although that might be annoying for some) I can't believe you still won't be able to put maps from carplay on to...

Savings on used vs new price?

Probably comes down to how much you value being the very first owner and knowing for certain it hasn't just been ragged around for 6 months before you get your hands on it. In my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Facelift Not a great first experience with Audi service

Update: So they rang me today to check everything was ok and I'd received "5* service". Bet they wish they hadn't lol. Anyway, to be fair, lady I spoke to apologised a lot when I told her about it. Told me to book it back in at my convienence and they would inspect and fix the loose panel for...

Facelift Not a great first experience with Audi service

Yeh thought so, RichardT lead me to believe otherwise for a second but I might have misunderstood what they were saying. Another thing I'll have to get em to update then, you'd think they'd have the easy stuff sorted, god help me if there's ever something more complicated they have to deal...

Facelift Not a great first experience with Audi service

Oh yeh I def should be and wanted to be on fixed, it just seemed strange I then had to convince them of that! Ah ok so you think what the service thing says now is correct? I assumed year 1 would just be oil service and then year 2 would be the bigger one but this is what it shows now: Oh...

Facelift Not a great first experience with Audi service

Sorry I should have been a bit clearer, the £15 was to reduce the excess from £1k to £50. Obviously I could have avoided it but was in a rush to get to work and after the service discussion couldn't be bothered with another debate. When hiring a car abroad I never bother with their cover and...

Facelift Not a great first experience with Audi service

Had car in at Audi today for it's first service. Car is 12 months old and done 5.5k miles. Car was set to 'Flexible' service schedule but they rang me a few weeks ago to get it 'booked in' for it's first service (unprompted) as it was almost a year old. I said on phone it's not come up to say...

Facelift 1.4 TFSI CoD (150) and 2 cylinder mode & VC

Cool thanks, will have a read sometime. Mines the 1.5 but can't imagine a huge amount has changed. Interesting it's 2&3 that shutdown, they look like they are on the same cycle, would think that would imbalance the engine. I only very briefly skimmed the document looking at the pics btw, will...

Good to know, cheers! I guess in theory it could shut down 1&4 and everything would still be in balance? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Facelift 1.4 TFSI CoD (150) and 2 cylinder mode & VC

Cool, glad all sorted, just looked back and yeh I responded on your thread also. It took me ages to work out why I’d lost the message, it’s not very intuitive, it should either leave the one in middle when adding the ‘extra’ consumption display or make it obvious you are ‘moving’ the display...

Facelift 1.4 TFSI CoD (150) and 2 cylinder mode & VC

Had a look this morning, when you turn on the additional consumption display you lose the middle consumption display and it’s that one which displays the written ‘2 cylinder mode’ message. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
